Scheduling calls and meetings with clients can get overwhelming. Keeping a paper schedule isn’t always efficient. You may forget to write an appointment down and that would be disastrous.
With Calendly’s FREE version you have the ability to create an event for which clients can schedule time with you, customizing the calendar to fit your availability.
You will receive an email when a client books an appointment and then that time frame won’t be available for anyone else. You can set it to send text or email (or both) reminders prior to the appointment time to keep everyone prompt.
Hello project organization! Where have you been all my life? Trello is a visual project management tool. This FREE tool is great for small business owners and bloggers alike. Projects are added using Trello’s “card” system. In Trello, you have the ability to add due dates, checklists, and a whole lot more to each task.
You can share a Trello board by inviting team members or clients via email to the board so that you can collaborate on whatever project you might be working on. Members of a board can communicate directly inside the board by using the comments section.
Wave allows you to send unlimited invoices to clients and customers for FREE. The free version, when used to automate your business, also includes unlimited banking and card connections and accounting software to track income and expenses. You can accept online payments starting at just 1% (that part isn’t free), and you will have the ability to scan an unlimited amount of receipts.
Set your invoices up with your logo and business information, run multiple businesses from one account, and receipts scanned in automatically are added into the accounting software. For a free software, I say it delivers!
Boxstorm is a free cloud based inventory tool for automating your business if you have less than 15,000 products. It also fully integrates with Quickbooks (not a free service).

Communication just got easier with Slack. Use Slack to communicate with your team on projects, or with clients.
Each user is able to participate and has the ability to track conversations that are relevant to them. One to One voice and video calls are available with the free version and you can integrate Slack with up to 10 other apps, Trello being one of them.
Mailchimp is an email marketing software that is great tool to automate your business when are just starting out on your entrepreneurial journey. The free version allows for up to 2000 subscribers and you can send up to 12000 emails a month. That’s 6 emails a month to each subscriber if you have a full list.
Mailchimp was one of the very first email marketing solutions and with the appearance of other paid solutions, Mailchimp has really upped their game over the last few years.
You can create welcome emails, email campaigns, landing pages, and pop forms. Target your list effectively with segmentation and a/b testing. You can even create social media ads right inside of Mailchimp.
As an entrepreneur, you have to get your business and product in front of as many people as possible. I think we all know that Pinterest is probably the best game in town for getting that done (after your email list).
Tailwind is a pinning tool that allows you to automate pinning to your Pinterest account. You can pin 100 pins per month with Tailwind’s free version. Roughly 3 pins a day if you do it consistently.
Tailwind will give you a suggested posting schedule based on your account’s activity. Imagine filling your tailwind queue just once a month and then forgetting about it until next month! Just make sure to read Tailwind’s tutorials and best practices to help ensure that you are abiding by Pinterest’s “rules”.
